January 27

 

Alton Barnes

 Meet at 10:15. Park in the village near the church. We will be visiting Alton Barnes and Alton Priors Church and Yew tree. What happens after Lunch will be determined by weather and day light. Map Ref OS SU 107 620
February 24 
Lockeridge Dene

 Meet at 10:45 Map Ref SU 147675.  From the A4 between Marlborough and Avebury at Fifield turn towards Lockeridge, passing by the pub.  Park near the field of sarsen stones.

Uffington White Horse and Wayland’s Smithy

Meet at the White Horse Car-park at 10.15am. This is half an hour earlier than the usual start time, as there is a lot to dowse before the lunch break. To find the car park take the B4507 from Ashbury towards Wantage. The White Horse car park is sign posted opposite the turning to Woolstone.
June 12-15 Long Weekend To the Kilpeck area of Herefordshire.  The trip we had to cancel in 2007.  Contact Shaun if you are going to join us.
July 27 Ludgershall Castle Meet at 10:45 in the car park at the castle, off the A342.  OS Map ref SU264512
August Due to other events no field trip this month
September 21 Deerhurst and Odda’s Chapel Meet by entrance to church yard at 10:30.  Leave Gloucester on A38 north towardsTewkesbury. After about 8 miles  take the B4213signed to Ledbury Deerhurst and Oddas Chapel. Follow brown signs.
